Liberty Christian School is located on 35 acres in Owings Mills, Maryland, a suburban area on the border of Baltimore & Carroll counties. Students commute from several local counties as well as Baltimore City.
The main school building consists of a complex of 40,000 square feet. The building houses two classrooms for each grade and three for kindergarten, a media center, a gymnasium and locker rooms, a fully operating kitchen serving hot meals every school day, administrative offices for school staff, teachers’ lounges for lower and middle school, a nurse’s suite, a computer lab, as well as art and music classrooms. In addition, the middle school has a state-or-the-art science lab. The school is also blessed to have the use of the church building. We use the sanctuary for larger school gatherings such as chapels, assemblies and back to school nights.
The school makes good use of its wooded property. Next to the soccer field, the parents built a large, modern playground for the elementary school students. A fenced-in water garden, a gift from our Organization of Parents and Teachers, contains ponds, a stream and native plant and animal species, and is used to supplement our science classes. In addition, there is an outdoor amphitheater with a stage area and benches. There are hiking trails and a clearing that is used for various activities.
