Liberty Christian’s Middle School program provides sixth through eighth graders a strong academic program and a wide range of co-curricular activities, all within a safe environment that encourages students to explore and ground their Christian faith.
- Top academics: LCS’s program is designed to create leaders. Many students who graduate the eighth grade will have completed Spanish I, English I, and at least one year of high-school level math.
- Science lab: A complete state of the art science lab allows students to explore the wonders of God’s creation. An on-campus water garden and other outdoor sites allow students to learn in a variety of real-life settings.
- Competitive sports: Students have the opportunity to try out for and participate in competitive volleyball, soccer and basketball teams, which travel to other area Christian schools. Cheerleading is also available for those who want to encourage LCS players.
- Clubs and activities: A wide variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities are available to middle school students. The newspaper and yearbook teams provide opportunities to develop creative writing, reporting and organizing skills. Instrumental and vocal music, art and drama clubs, as well as praise and worship teams, provide outlets for creative growth. Students in all grades are able to participate in the Chess Club, which competes at both state and national levels.
- Developing a heart for missions: Eighth graders are invited to participate in a foreign missions trip, where they are challenged to deepen their Christian faith and to minister to others in need of salvation and encouragement. Whether or not they go on the trip, every eighth grader is involved in supporting the missions team. Read more about the Joshua Expedition.
“The middle school years might be the most critical in your child’s development. As young people move toward greater independence, peer pressure becomes tremendous. And as they begin to make their faith their own, your children begin to question almost everything. Imagine going through this surrounded by a community of teachers and friends who share a love for Christ.”
